ARABIA, Southern. Saba'. 1st century AD. Half Unit (Silver, 17 mm, 2.24 g, 5 h), imitating Athen's 'New Style'-coinage, but with Roman-style bust. Roman-style laureate head to right within wreath. Rev. Owl standing right on amphora, head facing; monograms flanking; to right, symbol of Almaqah. CAF 1.16ii. Huth 294. SNG ANS 1492-4. Struck from worn dies as usual and with tiny marks and minor edge chipping, otherwise, very fine.
